I started the year 2020 like many, with visions of clarity, alignment, and ambition, and I am ending 2020, celebrating my 35th Birthday, feeling drained but content with where I am in life.

I have slogged through the strange crucible of pandemic-living, relationship straining circumstances, and a professional life that no development course or self-help book could have ever prepared me. 2020 was a year that tested many, both literally and figuratively. I am writing this blog posting to my future self because I know that I am prepared for coming after this year. I opened my 2020 journal and read the first few entries outlining my hopes, dreams, and goals for 2020. …

I would like to personally thank the Pinellas Democratic Party and the Pinellas County Young Democrats for your trust in me during my tenure in leadership. My service to our community and the Democratic Party does not end here as I know that there is more work to be done.

As a leader, I recognize that elections matter, elections have consequences, and elections have winners and losers, and for that, I wish my successor, Vice Chairman Jeff Cox, all the best, for his success is all our success. I also want to send a warm congratulations to State Committeewoman Lucinda Johnston, Secretary Amy Bordeaux, Treasurer Deborah Valleco, and Sergeant-At-Arms Tice Ridley on your election as our newest party leaders. …

Chairwoman Barbara Scott and Vice Chairman Johnny Boykins, First Presidential Debate in Miami, Florida

To my fellow Pinellas County Democrats:

I am an organizational leader and manager in the physical security field by profession. I am the Director of Operations for the State of Florida and Manager of Licensing Compliance at PalAmerican Security, securing assets and facilities around the United States. …

We are the generation of governmental failure and we are the generation that can fundamentally change our destiny by running for political office, joining community boards and commissions, and speaking out in industries where we are now in the ranks of leadership. We must do it, for the sovereignty of the living generation.

An open letter to my fellow Millennials:

Take a moment and step away from your webinar teaching your company elders on how to use the video conferencing program. Take a break from arguing with your Boomer and Gen X grandparents and parents on the merits of listening to public health officials. Put down your phone and step away from the Tik Tok videos you are watching but no worries, I know the Gen Z app is addicting. We are living in an era that is unprecedented yet increasingly familiar. …

The Warning

President Donald J. Trump warned all of us of where we would end up when he delivered his first address to the nation as President of the United States. In his “American Carnage” inaugural address, President Trump described this dystopian and dark America. We now know that President Trump is the American carnage.

The Record

In the President’s remarks, he stated that “mothers and children trapped in poverty in our inner cities,” but the reality is he has trapped mothers and children in cages at the border and in detention centers around the country. He stated that “rusted-out factories scattered like tombstones across the landscape of our nation,” and has done nothing about it. …

The political collective of pundits, editorial boards, op-ed contributors, cable news broadcasts, and social media “political philosophers” are all lamenting about the dysfunction and dissolution of the Democratic Party, due to our increasingly crowded presidential field. The political collective is regularly asserting that the Party is in disarray. The political collective is wrong because it forgets that at the end of the day, “all politics is local,” as remarked by the legendary Democratic Speaker Tip O’Neill proclaimed.

The increasingly crowded presidential field is something that Democrats should embrace. We should be celebrating the fact that our party is producing a field of quality candidates, all of which would be a better president than the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. We have an increasingly diverse cohort that occupies every inch of the political left spectrum, and for that, we will ultimately become a much better party contending to compete against a Grand Old Party in 2020. The GOP is a party that sold its soul to Donald J. Trump and Trumpism, for which we all know they will soon regret. We should not get distracted by the political collective that thrives on perpetuating outrange and dysfunction. …

The era of the political gatekeepers is officially over. Consider this an obituary. Millennials can no longer afford to “wait our turn” or “get in line” or “pay our dues” or whatever cliché that is directed our way. Our futures depend on the gates opening up, or we will dismantle the barriers altogether.

Our Future Depends On It

In the year 2057, I will be the current age of the President of the United States and dealing with the effects of climate change, environmental degradation, and infrastructure atrophy. …

The coalition that makes up the Democratic Party should embrace the youthful pressure disrupting the status quo within the liberal establishment and progressive left.

Embrace The Disruption

The rank and file order of the political left is changing. The coalition that makes up the Democratic Party should embrace the youthful and leftward pressure disrupting the status quo within the liberal establishment and progressive left. Millennials or the “the kids” that are often referenced in the news media are not kids anymore. …

It is clear that President Donald J. Trump is incapable of making a completely factual statement or having an honest moment. President Trump is incapable of telling the truth. President Trump is so self-absorbed that he lacks the self-awareness required to tactfully execute the most basic duties of the office of President of the United States.

One year ago, I published “The Fabricator-in-Chief is Incapable of Telling the Truth,” all of it still rings true today. The President of the United States is a pathological liar and revels within lies with an amorality that borders immorality. …

“No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly.” ~ Donald J. Trump

Despite what the President says, he is quite literally the biggest “victim” in America. Folks on the Alt-Right and true Trump Disciples cannot talk about victimhood on the left until they address the fact that the President of the United States is easily triggered and in a perpetual state of victimhood.

Our Triggered President

The President of the United States spirals deeper and deeper into his status of victimhood, particularly, as the political scandals compound. The right likes to make fun of left for being sensitive and weak, yet the Commander-in-Chief becomes triggered on a daily basis for all the world to see. The New York Times, The Atlantic, and U.S. News have all run stories on President Trump’s state of victimhood. It is time for our 71-year-old President to grow up and take some actual responsibility for his actions. At this point, it is not embarrassing, it is pathetic. The President of the United States has reduced the office of the presidency to the musings of a junior high school cafeteria. …
